FiN is the creation of local award winning landscape photographer Keith Hamlyn. Whos recent introduction to the digital world in late 2009 opened the doors to create a daily 'foto' blog of his journey from Noosa to North WA. This becoming the inspiration to do the same in his home town. 'The beauty of the sunshine coast is that we sit amongst some of the largest and most beautiful national parks in the country, as well as having some of the most perfect point breaks on the eastern sea board, then add the benefits of modern western comforts (typically really good coffee and some pretty insane gelati!), a year round sunny environment and happy people, well i really don't know why i didn't attempt this earlier.'
Keiths main passions are surfing and the environment, and combining these with his photography seem to be the perfect balance between play and work. The sunshine coast and especially Noosa are synonymous with surfing and most people who live on the coast can't but help be affected by this culture in some way. 'Being a surfer in Noosa you are exposed to riding lots of different surf crafts, and alot of the time you are meeting the people who created them, i look forward to documenting the crafts and the people who ride them, but it's not only surf that i'm interested in, we are all so unique and perfect in our individual ways i hope to bring all elements of our coastal lives to the camera.
