So as most of you know I've been overseas for a little while, and whilst away i had great intent of doing fiN posts from far away lands, but alas time, space and internet worked against me. So obviously I have a little build up of images. Now don't freak out this is not going to be one of those family get togethers where I go through all my holiday pics, but I will share that travelling was quite an eye opening and transformational experience for me. In my year away I travelled the United Kingdom following the music festival circuit, lived and cooked for a Circus in Switzerland, visited the Islands of Greece where Atlantis once sat and road tripped through north Africa looking for perfect point breaks. All the while I'd occaisionally pull out my camera!
So whilst I try to fit back into life here and balance between fiN and trips to Fraser Island I thought I'd share a few images from faraway places. I hope they prove interesting enough for you to bare with me.
By the way it's an amazing day in Noosa, hopefully it will continue for this weekends Noosa International Food and Wine Festival

Boomtown Fair, Winchester UK, 2011 - Back in Blue
Summer music festivals are a right of passage for the English, braving the cold and the wet of the other 3 seasons, the window of a little summer sunlight is time to dig out the dancing shoes, dust off a dress up and try and choose from the over 100 festivals on offer. During my time in the UK it was really brought to my awareness how aparent music culture is in England. For some reason I'd always supposed it was the US that created our music culture, but when your in some ones home country you can't deny the facts. The Beatles, The Stones, Zeppelin, Bowie, Elton, The Cure, The Who, Pink Floyd, The Sex Pistols. The list could keep going of the these highly influential musicians and all coming from this little Island or near by. And in our present day, the public awareness of music is huge, which swells over during the festival circuit. Of coarse beyond listening to your fave band there is also the merriment of putting on some outlandish outfit, grabbing your best mates and a pint of cider and wandering the fields laughing and commenting on all the other festival goers doing the same thing. And I like the rest did the same minus the outfit and the cider, instead carrying a camera and requesting a shot of these hilarious models. These are but a few.
