Noosa and Frangipani Dreaming - Friday, 25th November 2011
Gruezi All,
Half a year has passed since I left home, my intent was for just 3 months and to be honest it only feels as if I've been gone one. I would have loved to keep up my regular posts on fiN, but my living circumstances haven't been so conducive to dependable internet connection, not to mention power and time has seemed to allude as well. Before I left, a couple of really generous friends offered to email me images to share with you whilst I was OS. Though due to the above mentioned I failed to hold up my end and get them to you. Until now! So here I give you the images of Geoff 'Fanno' Fanning, who I'd be surprised if you didn't know! A constant fixture in the line up, Fanno is almost part of the National Park, if he's not in the water on his board, he's beside it with his camera. Geoff has always been generous with his images, shooting and sharing his pics with the local grommets, and never has he looked for anything in return and now I see on the facebook grapevine he has donated some of his framed images for a very worthy cause, to raise money for Noosa's own 'Mother Theresa' Moy Sweetman who will be having a life saving kidney transplant. The fund raiser will be held at the Noosa Surf Club this Sunday from 3pm to 6pm. Why not go check out some of Fannos pics and for $2 you can help raise money for Moy and have a chance to win a Julian Wilson surf board. Wish I could be there.
If you don't know Moy please visit this site to see what this incredible lady has established. www.frangipanidreams.com
